We’re excited to see improvements to Droitwich Spa Leisure Centre and proud to be working with Wychavon District Council who are investing £15 million in to this refurbishment project. This page is your go-to place for the latest refurbishment updates, including timelines, temporary changes, and what you can expect during the works.

Important Updates
As part of planned improvement works, some facilities will be temporarily unavailable from Monday 14th July 2025 for approximately 20 weeks.
Here’s what you need to know:
Front car park will be closed from Monday 14th July. Please use the rear car park, including the new parking area.
Disabled parking will be accessible at the front of the building up to and including Sunday 3rd August; as from the 4th August disabled parking will move to the rear of the building next to the temporary entrance/reception.
Internal building works will begin from 21st July
The entrance, reception, customer service and physio room will relocate to Studio 1 (rear of the building) from 4th August.
Badminton, Indoor Netball & Football will be available until mid-August.
Squash, Racket Sports & Virtual Classes will be available until the end of August.
Group exercise will be split between the marquee and sports hall from 4th August, as Studio 1 will be closed.
Studio 2 will continue to run as normal until the end of August.
From mid-August, group exercise will continue in the marquee or sports hall.
The gym will relocate to the sports hall by the end of August.
Dry side changing rooms will close at the end of August. Please come ready for activity or use the wet side changing rooms.
Evesham & Pershore Leisure Centres are open as normal, so do get in touch with us if you’d like to explore alternative options.
We know how important the centre is to our members, and we’ll do everything we can to minimise disruption. You will also be guided and signposted where to go. These upgrades will improve your safety, comfort and overall experience.
We’ll keep you updated throughout and confirm the reopening date as soon as we can.

Phase 1 - Overflow Car Park (COMPLETED)
Timeline: Now until June 2025 (Phase 1) - COMPLETED
The current overflow area has been converted into a permanent car park, adding 250+ extra spaces.
This will support parking for outdoor facilities, including pitch use and match days.
New car park LED lighting has now been installed in all parking areas.
Expected completion: June 2025 - COMPLETED ON TIME ✅
Phase 2 – Front & Rear Car Parks
The front and rear car parks will be upgraded after the main building works are completed in 2026.
INDOOR CENTRE UPGRADES
Phase 1 – Starts End of July 2025
Refurbishment of internal areas begins, including the gym and fitness spaces.
Gym and fitness classes will temporarily move into the main hall, with a marquee added to provide extra space.
Squash, badminton and pickleball will be unavailable during this time.
The pool, health suite and café will remain open during this time.
Duration: approx. 20 weeks
Phase 2
(Follows Phase 1)
Swimming pool and health suite will close for refurbishment.
During this time, a new learner pool, café and brand new treatment rooms will be built.
Areas closed in Phase 1 will reopen once this phase begins.
Duration: approx. 20 weeks
Estimated timeline: February/March 2026
PROJECT COMPLETION
All refurbishment works are due to be completed by August – September 2026.
