Turning A Gear With No Fear | Lee Oliver
Last weekend, Lee Oliver (Duty Manager at Evesham Leisure Centre) cycled over 200 miles going Evesham to Cardiff & back to raise money for 3 charities. The event was called Turning A Gear For 3 With No Fear. The 3 charities are Starlight, which is Bristol Hospital’s children ward, Noah Ark Children’s Hospice & Phil Currie’s family who is a close friend & colleague of the riders (Unfortunately Phil has been informed he has stage 4 throat cancer & they wanted to raise some funds to make some special memories with his family)
As well as being a Duty Manager at our Evesham leisure centre, Lee is a passionate cyclist & spin instructor. With his regular Riverlution spins being one of our most popular classes.
The 53 riders started in Cardiff on Saturday morning to cycle back to Evesham. However Lee & 3 others decided to make the challenge a little hard, cycling to Cardiff the day before... All 53 riders completed the ride & they raised an amazing £10,000+ for Noah’s Ark.
Well done Lee from everyone at Rivers Fitness!!
